So, more and more I find that it's really hard to find scrubs that are right for my skin type. My skin is extremely dry, and very acne prone around my chin area. After doing much research, I decided to just make one at home. Not only is it better for my skin, but also much cheaper!! And seriously, this scrub is divine. It's like a little microdermabrasion and my skin feels so ridiculously soft afterwards! A must try!!
All you need is:
-Organic Lemon Juice
-Organic Sugar
-A little bit of honey (you can skip this if your skin is more on the oily side)
Take about a teaspoon of each ingredient and place them on a round cotton pad. After dampening your face with lukewarm water, apply the scrub in circular motions all over the face. And then rinse!
I swear you need to try this; you will not be sorry! My face has never felt so smooth before and the lemon juice helps reduce any redness especially around acne scars or existing acne. Remember to first wash any makeup off your face before exfoliating. Follow up with a toner and a moisturizer as always!
Let me know how it goes!!:]

Bio- Ashley
Hey everyone! My name is Ashley and I’m a junior at the Rochester Institute of Technology. I’m a Criminal Justice major with a minor in Legal Studies. I know, I know! Why should I trust this girl who goes to a tech school, upstate, studying to be in the field of CJ?! Well. A long time ago, when I still lived in NYC, my cousin Alyssa helped me get my girl back. She helped me with my make up, clothes and just how I acted in general. So trust me, I’m well trained! ☺
I will be doing most of the random posts on fashion and most likely some college life in there too. I will be trying trends with stuff I already own, posting up a picture, and giving my stamp of approval or disapproval. There will be other things that I post about too, but I won’t ruin the surprise just yet. Everything you see from my posts will be tested out first… it’s almost like a fashion Mythbusters.

Neutrogena's Hair Mask Review- Ashley
Hey everyone! For my first experiment, I used Neutrogena’s Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Hair Mask. I’ve been using it once a week, for the past three weeks, and I have to say that I love it! My hair has been easier to manage, the ends aren’t as ratty looking and my hair feels a whole lot smoother! And a plus…it smells great in the shower too! All you have to do is put a little bit in your hair, focusing on the ends, and wait a few minutes (I like to exfoliate during that time). So, my overall opinion on this product is that it is a definite buy. I bought it at Target and I’m pretty sure it was less than 10 bucks. Enjoy!

Katy Perry Inspired Look
YAY! My first post. Finally got some motivation and did this Katy Perry inspired look. Katy's makeup is usually a nice light eye with thick winged eyeliner, some falsies, and a bright lip.
Here's a step by step on how to achieve her flawless look:
1. Prime the eye with a base primer to help shadows to stick to the lid.
2. Apply a light beige color all over lid from lashline to browbone.
3. On the third outer part of your lid, apply a shimmery taupe.
4. Blend the taupe into the crease and upwards using a peachy/apricot color.
5. Going back to the inner half of the eye, apply a nice frosty champagne color to really make the eyes pop!
6. Using the tip of a flat brush, take a broze color and apply it underneath the lower lashline.
7. Apply a thick line of eyeliner, preferably using a liquid or cream formula, and wing it out.
8. If you have false lashes, apply those. If not no worries! Apply 2-3 coats of mascara for a nice thick lash look.
9. Apply your foundation, pink blush, and a bright lip color to finish off your look!
